On July 28th 2014 ROC moved our Head Quarters to The FUSE in Trafford.
The FUSE is a state of the art £5million community and conference centre with a theatre, dance studio, recording studio, sports hall, art studio and offices. Plus outdoor facilities including a 3 G football pitch.
The premises was granted to us on a 22-year rent-free lease in 2014 by the Department for Education and Home Office in recognition of our work.
Over the years the facility has been used for a huge variety of purposes both national and local including; hosting conferences, weddings, parties, as a filming location for BBC’s CBeebies, foodbank, cinema club, holiday clubs, dance competitions, football projects, school awards, theatrical productions, fashion shows, banquets and lots more.
5 years ago we hosted a conference to celebrate our Restorative Justice work which was attended by HRH Princess Anne.
Most recently we hosted a conference to raise awareness and support for the victims and survivors of domestic violence. Special guests included the Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester and the Mayor of Trafford.
And we have recently hosted Celebrate Partington, a showcase of local organisations who are serving the needs of the local community.
It has been both a blessing and a challenge to run a facility of this size but when we reflect back on how it was provided for us, we know the future is secure.
