Sir Peter Fahy

He was a police officer for 34 years and served for 7 years as Chief Constable of Greater Manchester. During that time he championed neighbourhood policing and working more closely with local community groups. He held national responsibility for the Special Constabulary and for preventing violent extremism. In November 2015 he was appointed Chief Executive of the charity Retrak which works with street children in a number of African countries.

Deirdre the Principal of Nazarene Theological College, Manchester UK, a college validated by The University of Manchester. She has pastored in urban communities in the United Kingdom where her interest in justice, practical theology and community development finds its roots and is involved in a congregation in Longsight, Manchester. Deirdre is passionate about connecting the church with issues relating to justice and vibrant faith-in community.Her interests involve sports, gardening, and people! Deirdre is married to Andrew – a theologian and teacher.

Deirdre holds a PhD from The University of Manchester, an M.A. in Christian Holiness and a B.A. Hons in Pastoral Theology from Nazarene Theological College, Manchester.

Julia is a freelance television and DVD producer, having worked for several years as a researcher, director and producer for BBC and Granada television programmes. Julia is also an accomplished visual artist who designs and makes bespoke pieces including paintings.
She is married with two children and attends Emmanuel St James in Didsbury..

Rob Cannon

Rob lives in Cheshire and is  the Director of a large high street optical group and has substantial commercial experience. He is a member of Sale Life Centre, and a keen drummer. He is married with three boys.

Mike Royal

Mike Royal

Mike is a co-founder and former National Director of TLG, The Education Charity: an award winning organisation working with children and young people at risk of exclusion from school, through early intervention programmes and setting up Alternative Provision Schools throughout the UK. www.tlg.org.uk.

He also leads on Church Engagement for The Cinnamon Network www.cinnamonnetwork.co.uk, which is making it as easy as possible across the UK for the local church to help people most at need in its community. Mike is based in Birmingham and is committed to social transformation in that city.
