Community Love in Action

We love to hear about what happens in communities after a ROC Conversation and there are some great good news stories coming out of Taunton Deane after our recent event there.

The ROC Action group in Taunton Deane run a fantastic rough sleeper night cafe initiative. They were recently blessed with a donation of 3 crates of pot noodles to provide hot food through the night for the homeless in their community.

A local refugee charity was also part of the recent ROC Conversation. They’d heard about the night cafe and spoke to the refugees they are serving in the town. Furniture that was gathered to furnish houses of resettled refugees has now been donated by those refugees to the night cafe for use by the homeless!! Talk about Isaiah 61:4…’they (the poor) will rebuild the city’…one vulnerable group serving another.

It’s amazing what can happen when a community comes together.
