The ROC Scotland launch event on 5th February 2014 was a huge success with over 2,000 people in attendance.

The evening was a great combination of entertainment and inspiration for all those who attended. We were treated to performances from Scotland Pipe Band, High School of Glasgow Choir, the ROCK Choir, Ashton Lane as well as inspirational words from Midge Ure OBE, Sally Magnusson, senior police and fire officers and the various ROC project leaders from around the UK.

Debra Green OBE also shared about ROC’s vision to see 20 community projects established in Scotland over the next two years. We believe that by working together we can see towns and cities in Scotland transformed, with fresh hope and fresh community spirit restored.

The response we have received from this event has been very encouraging, with a number of project enquiries coming through from all over Scotland. We are also pleased to announce that our first Scottish ROC Café opened it’s doors on Thursday 27th February. The ROC Café in Queens Park, Glasgow will provide a safe place for young people aged 11-15 to meet up every Thursday night.
