ROC Champions is a term-time peer mentoring scheme for schools.
How it works
It gives young people the opportunity to be involved in mentoring their peers and is overseen by trained coordinators and workshop leaders.
As a result of the scheme, students become successful peer mentors or are mentored by a fellow student. Mentors and Mentees gain confidence and learn new skills.
The scheme is delivered through capacity building workshops and assessed using our unique assessment criteria.
Why partner with ROC?
Our experience of setting up, and running other Projects and our proven track record and high reputation with public services and partner agencies, offer local groups a real advantage and support.
Being a ROC Champion
As a ROC Champion a young person you can #BeARoleModel in all that they do whether it’s helping at home, creating some positive artwork, sharing with a sibling or making good choices that will encourage others.
Our aims
Our aim is to provide services which are most needed and often unavailable due to current economic cuts.
How we measure success
By keeping accurate records we know how many young people have been supported and engage with specific projects. Each project has its own aims and ways to measure the impact of each service provided.
