On Thursday 29th May we were by the seaside thanks to an invitation from Bangor Community Church! We met with local church members and other connected churches & town centre agencies. Happily, Bangor Community Church has expressed a really keen interest in a ROC project for the town.
The Bangor area and community is vibrant and popular and it was great to be back. We discussed how we can work together to reach those in isolation, whether through disability, age, addiction or economic problems. It was an exciting time together & we are hopeful that we can encourage communities, churches and agencies to pursue a joined up approach and thus build trust and relationship.
We are thankful to North Down YMCA for their contribution and invitation to make use of existing facilities, and also to Michael McDonald, PSNI Chief Inspector for North Down for his positive response and offer of help.
