ROC Wellbeing

Creating spaces, programmes and supports that cultivate positive mental health in people and communities

ROC Health Hub

We’re excited to announce that as of Spring 2023, we’ve begun setting up hubs in Wythenshawe, Manchester’s largest district with a population of 110,000. Our hubs will provide an alternative to A&E for mental health issues and other community needs. At our hubs, you’ll find a warm and welcoming space, as well as support, advice, and access to local services. Our staff and volunteers will receive specialized training, and an experienced project manager will oversee the initiative. We’ll be collaborating with existing groups and partnerships, recruiting and training volunteers, and providing regular progress reports. With our previous experience in similar projects, we’re confident in the positive impact the hubs will have on the community.

Suicide Prevention Programme

  • ROC has formed a partnership with Suicide Safer Communities, an esteemed Australian organization. The economic cost of mental health deterioration in the UK is substantial, with millions of pounds being allocated to towns, cities, and regions. Existing interventions, in many cases, provide only temporary relief, akin to sandbags. In this context, we are excited to introduce the ASSAT software, which incorporates seawall supports, and leads to a significant improvement in the impact of programme commissioning. Our objective is to reduce the incidence of mental health breakdowns, self-harm, and suicides.

Chaplaincy Training

In instances where social action programmes are implemented, participants frequently grapple with a wide range of challenges, including mental, emotional, and spiritual obstacles. Supporting these individuals can be a daunting task. We are delighted to inform you that we have established a partnership with Waverley Abbey College, a prestigious institution that offers accredited chaplaincy training. In collaboration with them, we are pleased to offer a discounted rate for this exceptional and widely recognized training.
